I've noticed on mine that 5 th gear seams to act like it has a splitter, like in a big truck. When pulling a hill instead of shifting completely down to 4th its like it drops half a gear and stays in 5th. Anyone else notice that??
Could be. It drops from 6th to 5th then rpms drop again but still in 5th. Not every time just when unloaded and lightly throttling up a hill. I've heard about people with older diesels say it's like an over drive/direct drive or something then 6th is just a complete overdrive gear in its own.
