Editting original post?

Is there a way to edit the first post in a thread I create?

It would be useful to add information to a thread as it's updated so first time viewers can see all the info at once or in my case, I would like to add some more info that I remembered to the original post and update it with what I have tested and what worked/didn't work so all the info is together instead of in several posts.

Does that make any sense? [confused]

It times out...not sure how long, but after a set time you can't. You could "quote" your OP and add to it but editing is done after that "set" time

Yeah, I was wondering if admin could change that? Just for the first post in the thread.

We don't have the powers to change it just for the first thread. It is a control measure in place that we need for a number of reasons (people who will abuse the feature) so if you need to make changes, copy your original post and amend it as a new post at the end of the thread.
