I changed My Airfilter

Well, today I changed my air filter for the first time. I remembered we had two procedures on how to do so posted in our tech file so I checked them out. The first one is what seems to be the more simple of the two......

but it's the second procedure that really rocks. While on the surface it looks more involved........it was a walk in the park compared to how the first was going to go. I would have needed first aid had I followed the first.

Glad you found them both informative. You got it changed and did not know how prior to reading the tech sticky. Good that means the system works.

I changed out my 6.0L air filter at 30,000 miles and even though the guage stated it was still fine (it never moved).... a bunch of loose dirt just fell out of it (on the front side).

Even though I probably did not have to change it.... I do every 30,000 - 40,000 miles regardless of the filter minder guage. I can afford $65.00 every 30,000 - 40,000 miles to know all is well and "free-flowing" clean air.
