Lowering a f150

Hey guys I was wonder how hard and what is all involved in lowing a 79.
This is on my current project truck and I want to give it a more aggressive look.
Can I just take out a few leaf springs and cut the coil springs in the front or is there more to it then that?

Back when I had my 65 Chevy, me and my grandpa discussed lowering it, from what I know, if you want to do it right, you'll want to get a lowering kit, http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/20A50471A1.aspx

i just ordered 2" drop shakels for the rear.. since the front spring is a bit worn and sit lower thannormal a 2" drop ion the back would gave it a nice stance..

Therr r bushing kits out there foe lowering or raising . Once u cut coils it will throw off thing. Unless u r only going 1"2" them might be still able to make work

Um.

2wd?

The only proper way to do it is the DJM/AIM style kit with new I beams.*

Cutting springs = bad.

*assuming you want a 3" drop.

psquare every time i see your truck, even though I am not a fan of lowering trucks, I love yours lol and consider lowering my 4x2 instead of lifting the front end up to level it. it's a beauty
