Trista and her sister went to Costco to get a new battery and they found one that was the same group and fitment code, but was 850 CCA, while the one she already had was 650 CCA. Is it okay to run the higher CCA or will that fry the starter wiring?

I don't think the cranking Amps would danger any thing.
I have a 950CCA bat on my truck and Bronco.

Definition of CCA: The discharge load measured in amps that a new, fully charged battery, operating at 0° F (-17.8° C), can deliver for 30 seconds while maintaining the voltage above 7.2 volts.

Always buy the largest physical size battery that will safely fit in your vehicle with the highest CCA available.
