what is the difference between a dana 61 and a 61-2 ?

Damn, that is a tuff one. Here is what little info i know about D61 axles;

D61-1 = Full Float 1.31 dia, 30 spline
D61-2 = ?? no data
D61-3 = 4.10 & down
D61-4 = 4.56 & up
D61-5 = D61 axles with D60 gears installed

My understanding is the D61 axle was a modification of the D60 to run larger gears. The D61 has more offset in the pinon to allow for large gears. D61 axles came as both Semi & Full Float. I believe you can get a spacer from Reider Racing to run D60 gears in a D61.
