01' 7.3 powerstroke "burp"

My 01' 7.3 powerstroke will "burp" when accelerating. When accelerating there is a sudden lose of power for a split second. There is no RPM changes and no signs of the vehicle losing complete power. The burp only last for a split second. There does not seem to be any particular speed or common occurence. The problem will sometimes happen 3 or 4 times in 10 minutes and other times we go day without a problem.

cam sensor maybe? watch the tach closely and if it jumps any it is possible. there is a recall on the sensor so you may run by the dealer to check and see if you have the new on or not.
