Ok, im trying to program a remote for my sisters 96 ford explorer. Well i have a couple of questions.

1. Can i program a remote thats already been programmed?

and also i tried to program a remote, i go from 3 to 4 eight times within 10 seconds, but on the 5th time it locks and unlocks the doors. So i was confused and when it did that i would stop on the run position and try to hit the unlock or lock button. I tried it in my bronco, and the doors never locked and unlocked lol...

I programmed a remote in my moms 2000 tauras and it worked first try.. Same with my dads superduty.

Is there a different way you have to program these older style remotes?

Cycle key 5 times end in run, doors lock and unlock, press button on each remote, when done turn ign to off. Need to do all remotes that you have at the same time if you only do one the others that were already programed will not work anymore. Hope this helps.

no she needs to get two new remotes. I was trying to program the extra one i had for my truck.
