Need help with stuck distributer

I have 1993 full size bronco, 351w, and I just replaced the motor, the distributer is rusted stuck and I cannot losen it at all. The truck is running poorly and everyone has told me that the timing needs to be adjusted but I cant adjust the distributer. I have tried spraying stuff on it to losen but it has been unsuccessful.PLEASE does anyone have a suggestion on how to losen it without breaking it?

While driving, I have no power while in over drive, but when I turn off OD, I have better acceleration but if I give it too much gas, it tries to bog down, not sure what is causing this.

Look for vacuum leaks first and foremost. The distributor issue is a tough one, best time to try anything is when the engine is hot.

Is it the bolt for the clamp thats rusted tight, or are you saying the distributor itself won't rotate? As mentioned before, after you get the motor hot, spray some PB blaster or penetrating oil of your choice on the hold down bolt, and try to get under the clamp too. If it's the distributor itself, the housing is aluminum so it may have just gotten a little corroded in the hole, try spraying the penetrating oil around the base. Let them set for 5-10 minutes, then see if they break loose.

Good Luck.

I had a stuck distributor in a 429 I bought awhile back. Thankfully I had the engine out at the time, but I had to use a 4 foot pry bar to get it out. Distributor went flying also. Thankfully it was getting trashed, but it was really stuck in there!

Doggonit I need to try out my own idea! LOL :)

Pack that sorrystuckassedaluminumsucker with dry ice. :)

It worked (great!) for a few other guys so far and I got a stuck distributor
in a '90 351w and need to try it out. Gotta go to town tomorrow ...maybe
I'll buy some? :)

Paraphrased from Lange's Handbook of Chemistry:
Thermal Expansion x10^6 of Alloys of...
Fe = 10 to 12 (stainless can be ~16)
Mg = 16
Cu = 16.5 to 19
Zn = 20 to 21
Al = 22 to 26 <--check it out, Al is twice as much as Fe

ps- Here's the whole story from my FSB post...
------------------
Back in high school my buddy's dad got a brand new 300 Winchester
Magnum and right away stuck a new brass case in the reloading die.
(picture a "rolling eyes smiley" here ;) Me or my buddy wouldn't have
forgot to lube it for one, let alone cram it in that friggin hard both. :/
Anyway he pulled the rim off, so bought a "stuck case puller" but it's
basically just a 1/4-20 tap and a part to adapt to the presses ram,
well, it pulled those little threads out easy as anything. LOL :)

Me and my buddy got involved and went up to 5/16-18 with just
stuff we had+made, pulled those threads out too. LOL :) He made
some calls and someone said "try dry-ice". So he comes home with a
hunk and sets the buggered up brass case on the dry ice and leaves
it there about as long as it takes to tell it... and asks "how long do
you suppose it should take?" Then he picks it up to move it to another
spot and the brass case fell out on the floor and spooked us all! LOL :)
