Hi. I am trying to remove the rear drive shaft. How do I get it off at the front where it connects to the trasfercase. I am having a hard time hammering the caps on the u-joint through. Is there any other way to remove it?

Once you remove the hold down clamps the drive shaft should more or less come right off.

^^^X2...pull the u-bolts...mark the yoke to keep it in phase, and then it should just fall out. You're not trying to separate the shaft from the CV unit are you?
Yes I was. The yoke wouldnt pull out. Do you have any pictures of what I need to take out? That would really help me.
