Any of you guys know anything about blood pressure? Is 200/117 a little too high?

The doctors have changed my medicines 3 times in the last two weeks trying to get it under control. It is better, but not near normal (even for me) yet.

Plus I have this sore throat mess that everyone around here has/had. I still can barely talk (that is a blessing to others).

As far as Nerak...I have not seen her (on here or around town) since the umm...Shhhhhh!

I sent a message, but never got a reply.

Robin would have high blood pressure like that everytime that she had too much fluid on her and they dialised her. Anytime they had to take more than 4 kilos off, her blood pressure would shoot up.

I realize you were asking that rhetorically, but that IS waaayyyyy tooo high. Stroke high. Kidney damaging high. The two times mine was that high, the doctor ORDERED me to the hospital. Both times it took intravenous beta blockers to bring it down.

This has nothing to do with fluid. When they unhook me from the machine (drained of fluid) it is still too high. I do not drink too much except on very rare occasions.

How much fluid can you handle without it being too much? Robin was uncomfortable with any more than 3 kilos on.

I can handle a lot. It shows up in my face, hands, and ankles on those rare occasions that I drink too much (usually over a long weekend when I am stuck inside).

I very rarely drink too much though. I stick to my diet well. Sometimes they pull as little as 1 kilo off.

If they pull more than say 3.5 off it drops my BP too low. I try to avoid drinking too much for that reason. I do not like being the "dizzy blonde".

What is going on now...apparently has nothing to do with the dialysis though. They are not sure what is causing it. Laying down (after the 3rd medicine change) it comes down close to normal. When I get up and start doing stuff (fixing a sandwich or whatever) it starts climbing again.
