OEM (combination) door locks Get code?

I have a 96 Explorer with a factory installed door lock that is in the form of a keypad located on the drivers door. I purchased this vehicle used. Did not get a comnination or code to work the keypad. How do I go about locating or changing the code so it is useable?

Check inside the left rear panel (jack storage). At the front of it, there should be a box. The number is on a tag on that box. Other than that, your dealer can retrieve the number for you.

You will need the factory preset code to reprogram the keypad.
You may have to go to the dealer for this. One of the techs here may be able to get the codes.
