Checking for fuel in Oil

Just Asken, A guy I know told me this. He said to drop a spot of oil on a piece of manila folder and if there is fuel in it, a black spot will appear on the back side of the piece of manila folder. Can any one confrim this.

Yes. Fuel will permeate paper much more quickly than Oil, But oil still show through. so on a cardstock like a folder, it will be obvious, being thicker.
The two do not blend completely, and the fuel readily separates from the oil.

Ok thanks I tried this and I see no fuel on the card. I be sending oil sample in tomorrow, well see how it comes out.

I been using blackstone. My last report show some fuel in the Oil. See other thread I started.

Well got my OIL report Back and all looks good. Less than .5% fuel in oil.

I like to post the report but can't do it
