A customer complains that his cruise control is inop. What is the most likely cause? 1) brakelights are inop 2) misfiring cylinder 3) Low battery charge 4) Unequal sized tires

Bad Clockspring... OHH, in GENERAL, not the 92-96 trucks...

I vote low battery charge after ruling out 1 and 4. On an older vehicle a misfiring cylinder wouldn't do it either, but I don't know about a more modern one. Low battery charge could be operating the computers necessary to do it out of voltage spec and not turn on altogether.
