My sister totaled her car yesterday (She's doing fine, just bruised up a little) and I went to the junk yard today to get her stuff. I wasn't in the truck, so I didn't talk to the guys too much about it. He tried to sell me an early 80's f-150 for $400. I might take him up on it! He also had a nice bump being restored in his shop.

Well, I went to leave and something caught my eye: a late 40's (?) f-truck. It was a dually and had a plank bed. It didn't have the vertical grille, so it wasn't an early 40's. So, here's my question: what models were available as duallys? It seemed to be a swb.

Generally, tho there are exceptions to every rule, 48-52 F4's and up had duals. In 48 the F4 was considered a 1 ton, but by '52 and in Canada the F3 was noted as a 1 ton.

Now, did the F-4+'s have different cabs than the F-3-1's?
