Bronco Emblems Need Opinions on color

Seeing the chrome is gone from mine, and I cant find good ones, me and my friend decided to paint em and see how they come out. So There is Semi-Gloss Black, and Wheel Paint-Gunmetal. Let me know what ones, pics are crappy at night so if you cant tell ill post more in the am.

Damn...alone I woulda said gun metal, but actually on, the black looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better.

Yea I think ill paint em black, then just stick em on with painters tape and see what it looks like.

If you want to just paint them that will work...for a while. If you want it to last, you might look into the possibility of having it re-chromed or even having someone put a finish on it. There are people/companies who will put a carbon fibre or some other pattern or specific color on plastic components. This is common for interior parts and dash components. I am just thinking about the kind of exposure to the elements, flying rocks, mud, and tar these emblems get on the side of the truck. A typical home-grown paint job will not last long.

I'd go with the black ones.

I never noticed,but the 87-96 emblems sit farther forward than the 80-86 emblems.

Yea damn might just have to order the chrome ones. I did go with gunmetal. Looks better in the sun. So I have sprayed em all to that. Tho i might not use em now.

I just looked, id spend more on emblems then what I paid for the paint job. Hes worse then LMC. LOL

Whatever quality he has, its too rich for my blood. I pay less for the 05 emblems for the F350 lol

I think I'd still go with black, that color kinda sticks out like a sore thumb and doesn't tie in to any other color scheme or accents you have on that rig.

You gotta see it on it, my and my friend keep trying black or gunmetal, the gunmetal pops so good in the sun with the lighter silver, the black looked good, but you couldnt make out the emblem, it was lost on the side of the truck.

My vote is to keep the gun metal... its a nice half-way point between the silver and the black in the paint job. You could get away with mounting them against either the silver or the black of the body and they would still stand out against either color.
