Bleeding a clutch slave cylinder

Hey Folks, I am working on a friends 90 Bronco. Swapped engines, clutch and slave cylinder. The slave was bad. Tried bleeding it from below using the 2 man pump the peddle method and using a mighty vac vacuum pump with no results.
I even tried the gravity method of just letting the fluid drain.
Nothing has worked. Tomorrow I am going to fix up a small garden sprayer with a hose glued on the nozzle to try and pressurize it from the top.
Anybody have any tricks for this?
Thanks
Clint

The pump method has always worked for me. Not sure why it wouldn't for you. After you close it, you have to pump it up a few times to build pressure in the system.

I've even pulled onto a hill withthe front up, then the rear up, while pumping the clutch. Sometimes air will work its way out like that.
