In the boonies
Well my papaw and i got to lookin the other day and we noticed that my ranger floods when parking. any ideas to why it does that?

Is it throwing any codes. Possible causes are a defective temp senders on these engines can cause flooding.
How is the idle is it smooth or does it surge.
Pull the hose to the fuel pressure regulator, does it smell like gas, could be a ruptured diaphragm.
