Putting the 351 into hibernation

Pulled a 351W out of a guy's truck a little while ago, it was free as long as I did the work.

I'm going to leave it an old barn for a couple of years, then going to be rebuilding it.

There is no oil in the motor, and I'm not worried about seals drying up or anything, I just want to keep the cylinder walls from developing rust and locking up my motor.

What do you think I should do? I could just dump some WD-40 in each cylinder and leave it?

Thanks,

Derek

Clown of Death!
Wd will dry up after a while!!!

I would squirt some motor oil in the spark plug holes, turn it over a few times, put them back in, then seal it in a heavy plastic bag!!!

I would back the rockers off if you plan to re use the valve springs. They will weaken over time having some of them open for 2 years straight.
