97 5.4 what diff than 05

I found a parts van with a new jasper 5,4 motor and warranty .(cheap to say the least) I've had my eye on a 05 crew F250 with 99000 and head noise (Also cheap to say least )

So what change through the years nothing ? Lots ? Any Idea?

Seems finding a wreck or one in need motor is only way I'll get something newer than 10 yrs old.

Notta that I know of. They should be the same motor. The EGR would be the only thing I would look for on the '97

I'll keep that in mind. With multi valve stuff I had no clue.
