update on MSD street fire coil 2k miles

So I have had the msd street fire coil on my flareside for 2k miles. Doesn't seem to have any issues. I have about a 2 MPG gain post msd coil.


So, so far so good.

Have you been keeping a mileage log or just going by a tank or 2?

That always help by keeping track of mpg every fill up. If the mileage drops or picks up even more it will show up over several tanks of gas.

i kept a log for a lil while.. the last month or so i havent cause its been riddled with poor running conditions and junk. but it's been a real REAL good upgrade.

Chris I believe you that it is a good upgrade. But a mileage log can help you decide if a mod you made is working or not.

For example, lets say you are using dino oil and decide to change to full synthetic oil after 3-4 tanks you will know for sure if it was a good change.

I'm going to get a new coil too. Still has the factory one, don't know the life of engine coils.

i've ran probably 15 tanks through the truck since the upgrade... there is a DEFINITE difference.
