That's what I was thinking? My mum and dad just bought new Nissan xtrail, had to wait 4 weeks.

Someone would have to be paying for it somehow, whether government or whatnot. There is no way the companies could survive long with that kind of losses. Heck, they could sell parts off of them and recover some of the expense. Since painted, they can't go NOS really, but the pencil pushers wouldn't let this kind of money bleed continue unless it was funded somehow.
