transmission issue

I have a 2008 F-250, just bought it 38,000 , miles on it. I having some transmission issues. Ill be coasting and go to hit the gas pedal and the truck will rev up and then slam back into gear. The dealer said that it probably needs to be re set. Just seeing what peoples thoughts are on the issue. Thanks

With the trans using electronic shifting, the first step would be to reflash the trans control module.
