Trans Fluid Temp

I'm running a 2005 V10 w/ Torqshift. I pull a houseboat...about 8,000 lbs. When the outside temps are pushing 100° my Scan Gauge occasionally shows a trans fluid temp of 210° w/ the coolant temp at 220°.

How high is too high for the trans fluid?

The trans temp should always be relatively the same as the coolant temp (remember the trans cooler is in the radiator). If the trans temp starts to get much higher than the coolant, the torqueshift will set a tft dtc .
