Went on a 4 day camping trip to a spot in the Bighorn mountains about 150 miles away. Trip started out rather rough but ended up good. I was pulling a 30' camper up an 8% grade with lots of hairpin turns when the power steering went out on the truck. The bearing on the tensioner pulley for the power steering froze and burned the belt off. I looked like popeye when I got the truck to the destination.
Fortunately the Ford dealership 60 miles away had the whole tensioner assembly. The parts guy(older) said the computer did not show a tensioner for an '89 Ford with a 460 engine. He said, "That's bullshit", and grabbed the manual where he located the part number. The whole assembly was $85.
The return trip turned out much better.
