recall on a '99?

My sister's driving a '99 Explorer.

I heard somewhere, just yesterday, that there may be a recent recall on that vehicle- something to do with the fuel system, maybe?

Anybody know if this is true, and if so, have any details on the problem and the fix? (It may not be correct- I'm third or fourth hand from the source of information. But I expect she'll be calling me for advice if there is, in fact, a recall.)

well if there's a recall dealer will fix for free.. and nobody can know unless in direct contact with corporate until they release it.

I have one for the cruise control starting on fire, from years ago that I never got fixed. Probably should do that...

Yeah, it ended up being that one. Just a miscommunication over the too-many people between me and the notice she got.

I think she got it taken care of today...was supposed to, anyway.
