The thing is...you cannot be home all the time and alarms/locks can be bypassed.

Most of the batteries used w/alarms are only good for a coupla hours if the power goes off.

I'd be willing to bet that very few of y'all (if any) have a padlock on your electrical box, and/or a lockable knob on the door to the room where the safe is located.

And, if you assume that by having a gunsafe, you have no worries, consider how they are constructed.

Nope, but I dare ya to try and get past my fence...

Padlocked, dead bolted and a lockable knob in both locations.

But...you're not adding your last name or address, just your first name, last initial, city/state you live in.

Rule of thumb if you own firearms: Make sure to have an unlisted phone number.

What concerns me is: Y'all have NRA stickers and/or gunracks visible on your vehicles. At one time that was OK, nowadays it's a different story.

Basically, you're advertising you have firearms, so...someone could follow you home. Now...just imagine what could occur next.

Just about everybody round here has at least a couple guns :D

There are a lot of lockable knobs on here ;)

I own firearms, yes. Unlisted phone - no.
No NRA stickers or gun racks. Neighbors would defecate themselves if they saw a gun rack or firearm!!

Someone follows me home. . . . . they'd be in for a rude awakening.

Padlock on electrical box and meter box!!
House alarmed.
Locked door on room to safe.
Room alarmed. (Wireless. Not dependent on telephone system.)
Safe is not visible once you're inside the room where it's kept.
Video system activated once door is opened to room where safe is located.
You get to the safe, you're not going to have an easy time opening it.

Paranoid. . . no, not really. I just do not want some sphincter muscle taking something that I've worked hard for, and could do bodily harm to some innocent.

Believe it or not, all my outside utilites boxes are padlocked. :) PLUS, the wires come up through the concrete into the box.

Dennis has spent most of his life alone.

Duncan doesn't want anyone to know where he is.

Zack, How about you take a flight up here (CYQF) to pick me up and take me to Ontario Calif (ONT) ?
