not starting sugestions required

Put a breaker bar-socket on the crankshaft bolt and turn it watching the distributor rotor to verify whether you sheared the pin on the dist shaft.
Also if you do a crankshaft turn each direction you can check for timing gear/chain slop.

There shouldn't be more than 10* slop either direction.

so timing gears were broken: half the gear was sheared of, opened the cil head and the rear valves are bend, it has also burnt oil in the rear cilinder so i have put a junker engine in it, but now it won't start when the SPOUT is connected, without the spout runs perfect, have set timing at 10 btdc but yet no spark when spout is installed. so as to have been said in another thread i'll probably look to work further on converting to points.
