Interior grime,YUCK!

I know theres threads about these things ,but Ive already spent a half
a day changing oil an cleaning my bump , I moved to the interior an
its like DAAAAAMN....YUCK!

Its got to be body oils & gunk!

What do you all use for the grime that wont hurt my new vinyl seat
covering?.....

My goal is to find a safe product that will clean an also a product that
moisturizes the vinyl rather than bleech it or dehydrate it!

Its either cover the top part of my seat by the back window or tint the window.
I hate tinted windows as I like the clear window for the nostalgic look of the truck!

I'm not so sure there really is anything *safe* for vinyl. If you look at vinyl used for auto upholstery, typically one will find a fiber backing (strength), possibly some foam (aesthetics/design/looks), and the plastic itself; all this melded into one sheet. So with this said, the real enemy of the material, like so many plastics, is UV. The good news is, technology has advanced and given us better UV inhibitors and auto glass with better UV blocking ability. The bad news is, old cars don't have this. Back 30something years ago when me had vinyl, I'd hit a local auto supply store for some cleaner and never had a problem. However, IMO, the best thing to do is to not get in vehicles dirty in the first place; either change or cover the seat with a towel.

I wound up tinting my rear window for that very reason ..... after i had my seat recovered i got the guy to make me a seat cover for it too so that i can just put the cover in the washing machine.

Ive been using a towl to cover my steering wheel ,but finally took time
out to clean the truck an noticed the top of the seat getting a little
light.
I may just have to put a seat cover on during the summer months ,but
I like my seat to be seen an not look like it came from ******!

As far as a cleaner ,maybe some of Moma;s home brew of vinegar
an water.

My truck is a work truck an I do get very very grimey & dirty!

Optimum Polymer Technologies sells everything you need to maintain and clean car stuffs.

For your seat (and any unpainted interior parts), I'd use Optimum's Power Clean at a 10:1 dilution ratio. Spray onto the seat, agitate with a soft brush, wipe away the remainder with a microfiber towel.

There is no 'conditioning' to be had with PVC vinyls, but you'll want to protect it (and the rest of your plastics) from UV damage. Try Optimum's Protectant Plus. Spray on, wipe in, wipe off. Super easy!

As a note, Power Clean is concentrated- buy a gallon and dilute a spray bottle at a time. The cost per application is very low.

Meguiars all purpose cleaner is safe for vinyl.
