Hi everyone I purchased a 1995 F350 5.8liter EFI but it came without the pcm is there any way I can purchase a PCM by using the VIN can anyone advise me on this. Thanks

Hello. Have you tried the local wrecking yards around you? eBay is another great source for finding parts.

Some vehicles may have several ECM replacement options, while others may just have one. Do not assume that any option listed for your vehicle will fit! The most accurate way to order the correct replacement ECM is to verify the OE number provided in the part listing or at the bottom of this page matches the OE number printed on the original unit. If the original ECM no longer has the label, the dealership can look up the OE number using your VIN.

Hi, thanks for the reply I will look into it and thanks had considered the dealership but the prices are frightening for a truck I didn't pay much for.

The dealership can also just give you the part numbers which then you can use to buy the ecm elsewhere. You need to know the original part number so you get the right calibration and such. I scrapped a car becauser the prior owners had swapped the ecm and it was old enough the dealers didn't have the info any more. The speedometer was way off and it just didn't run right. It all goes through the ecm.
