Well, my truck was $13100 in 1989, thats $23800 in today's dollars. You cant buy a F150 Lariat 4x4 for $24000...

According to the Ford "Build And Price" A 2009 F150 XL 4x4 with Limited Slip is $26000, and my truck is nicer (the 2009 XL lacks PW, PDL, AC, FM radio...)... Inflation sucks.

I priced out these things... there's NO way you could get a 4x4 lariat for 24K. Sticker is 33. I realize you never pay sticker, but 24? That's 66% sticker.

Have you sat in one of the 09s? The interior is spectacular, the seats are SUPER comfortable compared to older generations. It might be 26k sticker but you shouldn't have to pay that if you talk them down. Hell people were getting fully loaded 08 Lariat 4x4s for 25k OTD just a short while ago.

Yeah, my dad and I test drove a Platinum. I love that truck, but he wants a superduty. The interior is huge and cush as hell and the styling rocks. It kinda reminds me of the Gen8 front end, and I love the old school brushed tailgate panel.

Its incredible.

Too bad you cant get a Lariat 4x4 for $24000, like my dad did in 1989 ($13100 in 1989 $)... He did get it fleet price though... can you get a 2009 Lariat 4x4 RegularCab/Shortbed for that fleet price?
