Best way to fix the strip that is betwwen the top chrome of the windshield and the roof?

I am trying to fix the strip that exists between the windshield chrome in the top side and the roof. There is rust that I see there and I want to know if it would be easy to fix.
Please advise.

hey there, belated welcome to FTF, I've tried to fix rust before... I imagine out there on the coast what you are looking at is surface rust? try sanding it down, not sure what grit would be best, but start coarse and go finer, maybe even try steel wool, get down to bare metal, then hit it with some primer, maybe even try to color match, good luck.

Mines got rust there too. Much more than surface rust. I'm thinking the windshields gotta come out to do some surgery. The rust will come back unless it's cut completely away.
