Anyone got an infared thermometer?

If so, what temps do you see at the exhaust manifolds / headers?

Starting at the cylinders towards the front of the motor working back to the collector flange? Then at the y-pipe working back to the end of the tail pipe? All temps taken at idle, at operating temp and with the thermometer held within a couple inches (ideally, closer = better) from the part being measured.

Are you looking for numbers for comparision, or are you looking for the numbers out of sheer curiosity?

I don't have a gun and would be interested to see what you found if you do have the infrared temperature gun.

I have an infared thermometer and I have been paying close attention to the exhaust gas temps in the time that my van has been running. However, I am not sure exactly what the temps should be at any given location, thus it is difficult to interperate the readings. I would be curious to see what temps other people see for the purpose of comparison.
