68 F100 rear end ratio top speed

I am considering a 68 F100 2 wheel drive 3 speed manual. anyone know what rear axle ratio is or the top speed. Just trying to figure if it will be ok for highway speeds around 60

Hard to say. It could be straining by 60, or with some of the higher rear end ratios available it would have no trouble at 75.

Do you have the vin or rating tag from the door jamb or something to indicate a ratio?

theres a lot of different ratios. you would have to check the rear axle tag or the door tag. it should be fine in highway speeds especially if it has higher gears. my big lifted truck has 3.50s and will do 60 fine and my dad has 3.50s in his truck and it will get around 100 or so.
