You can usually get a long thin screwdriver in there to move the converter into place.

thanks it worked... do you know how to spin the crankshaft to tighten the nuts? i looked at a picture and it showed a spot on the front of the motor i cant seem to find it

I usually use the 18mm bolts on the front of the harmonic balancer.
