ok everyone..
the stock 302 in my truck has me aching for more still. I've been having a itch to sell it for a mustang.. but i just dont want to..
also the engine has been using and leaking more oil than before, about 1 quart every 1k miles. Also have a coolant leak from the water pump. have a some cold startup noise on the top end of the engine..

I will be having an engine built and installed in the next few months.
I will not be doing the work. no time or space to do it.
So this thread is getting me in the planning stages of the parts that are going to be used.
It's going to be a semi performance build..
plan is:
Staying 302 or .030 over to a 306..
Roller Cam block
Cam with somewhere around .480 lift enough to provide some extra power all across the power band..
and staying SD.. im planning MAF in the future just not now..
GT40 heads, ported and polished..
Shorty Headers.
Stock Truck intake no porting or polishing..
fresh bottom end, rings pistons, bearings will see about going Flat Top depending on the camshaft.
Im working on finding a place to do the build as of right now.. have a buddy that does alot of mustang builds that im seeing if he'll do it.
planning on spending 3k or so all together including labor..
