1969 Dana 60 rear end oil type

Hello,
I own and operate a classic 1969 Ford f250 Good Humor ice cream truck here in Norwalk, Ct. I'm in my 4th down season for maintenance and restoral. I was wondering what type of oil I should be using in my period Dana 60 rear end. Something tells me 80W-90 is suitible. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

80w-90 would be fine.

80W-90 Motorcraft for me.

The 75W-140 that newer Fords (Gen 11) have been using hasn't impressed me. Limited slip clutch pack failures have been much more common.

When I was working at the Ford dealership, we often had complaints of chatter in the rear end, coming from the LSD unit. We would often put 80W-90 in after putting new clutch disks in, against Ford's recommendation, but it fixed the problem.

:)

Derek.
