The coil I mentioned is the coil that was on it to start with. The truck ran fine with it installed. Had a fire and thought about replacing it. Will proceed with the coil and see what happens.Still can not find a throttle solenoid... any ideas?Thanks for replying.

Can not find a throttle solenoid as pictured below. Any ideas on where to locate. I will try pick'n'pull if necessary.

My 85 f250 460ci has old style coil. About 2" round, 6" long with snout. Looks nothing like the coils found on ebay.Can an ordinary 12v coil work?
