A friend has a 93 with a 4.0 that has two dead cylinders and replacing it would be the quickest repair so what all years of motors can be used.

It has the correct flywheel and balancer for a pre 79 motor,been wanting a manual trans again so since I still have all the FE parts I am going to put another FE in.

My 66 originally had a 352 and 4 speed which was replaced by a 460 and C-6 but is going to be replaced by a FE again,I have the mounts and clutch parts and my original trans was worn out so it got scrapped and I need to know just how new of a 4 speed can I use that will still have the same input...

Did a rear end gear change today,took out the 2.75 and went with 3,00 and its much better. Even with the 460 the 2.75 gears were too much with the 31 inch tall rear tires and I think I got the speedo closer to correct since it was a little too slow.

Bearing in the alternator is making noise in my 95 with a 5.8 and thinking about grabbing one from the local pull and pay so what years can I use one from.

It has to sit outside but is not driven in the snow.

It does not get that much worse gas mileage then my 95 F150 with a 5.8 and E4OD.

The rubber mat that was in my 55 sunliner about killed the floors,once it got wet it stayed wet and the front pass side was still wet when the heater core leaked back in the 60s.

I have a 55 sunliner my dad bought new that was a late build with some 56 parts but even if your 50 was a late build in august that year the heater is about a year later.

Did you notice the date on the heater,could it have been dealer installed and originally ordered heater delete.

351-M/400 towers will also work,I used them to put a 351-W in a 77 years ago along with 320 mounts.

I gave up on trying to get the 460 to use less gas and put it back the way it was,got the heater to work better and found the source for most of the rattles which ended up being loose bolts in the front sheetmetal.

Right now I am in the planning stages,it might be a couple years since I am going to drive the 95 until the frame goes. I put alot or work in the 95 only to knock some holes in the frame so I do want to drive it since its my only vehicle with working a/c.

My 95 F150 has some holes in the frame where the rear bumper attaches so I was thinking if I can not get it repaired I might yank the 5.8 and E4OD along with the EFI and transplant it in my 66,anybody do that swap and what if any hassels will there be with the wiring.

The truck had a jumpy speedo and would like to stall right after it started to move if my foot was not on the gas which turned out to be a bad speedometer.

I ended up having a junkyard pull them.

Tuning the 460 to see if I can tame the 460s thirst for fuel just a little before going to a 351,went to a smaller carb and doing a little better but I need to get the speed correct before going any further.

Tail lights with the reverse lights are in and now I am thinking about going to a 351-w and toploader 4 speed,the 460 just uses too much gas to drive as much as I would want to.

Picked up a neutral safety switch and ordered new 67 to 72 tail light lenses so its going to get reverse lights when it warms up a little.

If I had a 460 bellhousing and clutch parts I would have put in my toploader 4 speed but since its a daily driver I am going to keep the C-6 now that I got it shifting better,this project is starting to snowball as I want to do more like adding back up lights from a 67 to 72 and the newer...

Now I am in the process of removing the lokar shifter and 4 speed steering column and replacing them with a 69 automatic column,the column is in and need to replace the shift arm on the trans and add a factory deep trans pan.

There is a junkyard here in Dayton Ohio that has a buch or 223s.

I never had a balljoint twin I beam suspension apart so I need to grab a pair of spindles from a 86 in a local junkyard for my dropped beams,will I need two forks to knock the balljoints loose or just one and the other one will come loose.

I looked at a few of those Lincolns over the years but most had too many miles and too beat up to mess with.

Can not find anyone who can bend the beam to get the camber right,it does great on the highway now.
