I would try to find original whenever possible. To many times aftermarket parts claim to fit perfectly, but custom work/adjustments need to be made.

Great to hear! So many times issues are resolved with high end quality parts or factory original.

From what I see in your pics, a big difference! Even the closed cell foam looks different!

No compression? Did you put a compression gauge on it?

Hmmm, I have found going with the cheapest brand from Rock Auto not the way to go. Doors should close nice and not requiring any force. I would try to find stock OEM weatherstripping. eBay is a good place to find NOS parts. Final note Dennis Carpenter is a very good company for parts.

Got a NOS cigarette knob and element from my local Ford Dealership to replace the missing one. I don't smoke, but it has been bugging me that it was missing, lol!
