Ken - good catch on the flag. Definitely a general lee inspired build.
Pet pev of mine on these trucks is not matching the interior to the body color.
At least he didn't call it a HighBoy.

I just did most of the bulbs in my 04 F150 and the wifes 06 Escape. Very happy with the results and SBL.
Best advise I can give for led lighting is you get what...
Another idea.
On the trim in the dent, the black plastic piece. Paint the top and or bottom with the width of your choice. Wouldn't be so obvious that it jumps out at you but subtle and would reflect off the aluminum a bit. A couple bucks on some pinstripe tape to try it on and easily removed if...
Got the motor pulled last week. Not alot of room to work but i got it done.Gained about two inches with the cowl removed.Left the radiator in. Have the disconnect tools but couldnt get the lines removed. Some thing else i didnt think about. with the arm extended all the way out at full...
Ended up ordering a crate motor. Should be here tomorrow. Decided against a used or remaned.Starting to take everything apart getting ready to pull the motor. As the oil is draining out I take a look at it a few minutes later and WOW! I scramble to get my other drain pan. The one I'm using...
Yeah that's still an option. Only thing is that price is creeping up there. And then I'd have a new top end and old bottom. May be better to have a remaned where everything is done and start fresh. Got some research to do. Figure out which direction to go.
Well...This is kinda disappointing. Three of the caps that hold the cam down on right side are cracked in half. The journals on the cam are scored real bad. Out of the 12 lash adjusters only two will move freely.
Turns out the thread is a 16mm. My gauge has 12, 14, and 18mm. The two parts stores do not have a 16mm. Stopped by liquor store, got a bottle of Jack and calling it a night.
Since the rockers were already off number 3 and 4 I pulled the lash adjusters and No.4 is stuck. So it looks like I've found a starting point at least. Gotta run and try to find an adapter for my compression gauge. Only one I have is for an 90's Jeep and threads don't match.
Got the other valve cover off. Got to the front of the timing chain cover and am kinda stuck with the main pulley. Will not move. Got the puller on it with tension. Cannot get it any tighter. I think I'm done for the night.
After talking to the guy at the salvage yard I found out that the truck came in to them with the right valve cover off and was missing both rockers on cylinder so 3 and 4. Then they removed coils, plugs. PO was into it before it came into them. Going to go and buy a scanner today.
Research on the PATS I found out that it's standard on these trucks. After plugging in all electrical connectors and charging the battery it's got a red light on top of dash that's flashing. Turned key on and heard fuel pump. So the key is good.
Sorry, got ahead of my self.
Truck was delivered Monday. No sooner got it into the garage then I had to go to work. Some of the snow has melted off and im getting a better look at what i bought. I'm going to put all the stuff that the junkyard took off trying to get it started and never put...
My 06 all three come on with door open because I have them set that way. Interior and rear light have three position switches to turn on independently or with door open or completely off.
