Before i put my rebuilt engine in i wantedto do a cam swap. The engine has been rebuilt stock. I am wondering How much lift the stock valve springs can take? Will it be able to handle the .447 lift or should i spend the 50 bucks more and get the cam/lifter/valvetrain kit? Joe

Am i able to just not hook it all back up when i swap my motor? Or actually go through and eliminate them from the wiring harness all together?

I need to replace my carb pretty bad. been to the junkyard and got one but its just as bad. Ive been looking at getting rebuilt ones and for a 1986 it would be 300 to 350 bucks. For earlier years before 85 its about 180. I know that my truck has a lot of stupid sensors built into the carb...

it comes with all the wiring harnesses for the engine and tranny not cut or anything

mine ran just fine all winter but now that it is warming up it is acting like a pos again like it did last summer. But i kn ow i have a vacuum leak somewhere to fix too

well im just wondering since i can get a 2002 5.4 and tranny for 1000 with 120k on them.

Has anyone swapped a newer 4.6 or 5.4 triton and tranny into their truck? How much work was involved? ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!! Currently have the I6/C6 and its burning oil pretty bad. Have a motor to swap but am looking into maybe going with a newer motor for better mpg etcThanks Joe

im putting a rebuilt I6 in. is this going to be a pretty straight forward swap? Onw thing i am wondering is where exactly do i put my hoist onto this thing to pull it out? its not like a v8...v anything to look for?Joe
