has anyone ever done this and what all is involved {modifications ect....}

end result its what you feel is normal or get used to as long as you check it and add when it gets to low just don't over fill it those marks are there for that reason ,if there are no leaks no blue smoke it runs fine has power it will be ok.seen some engines old farm tractor pulling their guts...
where the best places to get parts for motor ect ford , international , truck pro or just napa going to check salvage yards for some
needing filter base an possibly new return lines between injectors and few other misc. items

well sorry this never went any where son need truck back put 302 back in it an he drove for while blew it up .he sold it to one of his friends ,they pull motor ,got another block and over haul kit .he sold the motor sold son the truck back now im looking for my son another 302!kids !! some days...
bought tempo from air force aution once 1/2 quart dissaperad at 2000 miles , my usuall oil change was 3000 and it was still right at 1/2 quart low, cat mechanic told me once if a motor didnt use any oil between oil changes it would scare him !meant somthing wasnt getting lubricated.
