    Well, if it has been swapped, someone has done a awesome job. Because the spring perches haven't been relocated that I can tell. Looks like the original rivets in them. I'm still leaning toward a special order of some kind. I'm still digging for the answer, and I'll get to the bottom of it...

    No, I'm going by the rear spring pack, which is three; and 5 bolt wheels. Even the vin says f-100. Sure wish I knew how to upload pictures on here!

    Well mine is definitely a spare tire carrier on the pass. side just in front of the rear tire. The wheelbase is also 140 inches(as opposed to 133 on a regular 8 foot bed).

    Well, I guess I have an odd-ball then. A 1973 f-100 with the extended wheel-base and spare-tire carrier in the bed side. Nothing has been modified or adapted that I can tell. Must have been a special order or something.

    I'll check that out. But seems like that would take some engineering on the part of the person changing it. Relocating the rear axle and possibly longer driveshaft. Plus, if they did, they did a mighty fine job of relocating spring hangers. I'm going to do some more digging for info. Thanks for...
