    Antenna (OEM vs. Aftermarket)

I have been scouring the internet trying to find an used OEM antenna that doesn't have a bent mast but have fallen short. So, my question is if I go aftermarket is the best route to take the one from Tom's OR have other's used other aftermarket that will fit our factory fender hole that can...

OEM Cigar Lighter Install in '73 Bronco Ranger Dash

Thanks to both of you. I found a wire going to the positive connector of the starter solenoid that had been spliced several times & appeared to be frayed. I discarded the old splice & an inch or so of wiring on each side of it http://www.supermotors.net/registry/27354/85051-2 . I then put a...

OEM Cigar Lighter Install in '73 Bronco Ranger Dash

The "red" wire could have been to the brake lights. All I know is that it had power to it without the key in the ignition which let me know that by connecting to it I would have constant power to the lighter.... Thanks for the wiring diagram. I will check it out but in the past, even the '72...

OEM Cigar Lighter Install in '73 Bronco Ranger Dash

Thanks. I will check out. First off, everything obviously went dead simultaneously upon splicing the wire so, I think it was immediately. After the splice connection I pushed the lighter in & nothing. Then turned on the dome light (nothing), then wipers (nothing) then tried to start (nothing). I...

OEM Cigar Lighter Install in '73 Bronco Ranger Dash

I wanted to add an OEM cigar lighter to my '73 Bronco Ranger dash. I reviewed the dash set-up with a factory cigar lighter to determine where to place it on the dash. Drilled a 7/8" hole & inserted it with no issues. In order to keep it on continuously I Connected a 14 gauge wire w/a built in...

'73 Runs now but way to rich (6 MPG) & Tranny shifts way too Fast!!

Tom, Thanks for trying to assist with the vacuum diagrams but neither look like my '73 with stock 302 with auto tranny. What year is the 1st diagram of (not the one that states it is a 460)? There sure look like a lot more valves on it than are on mine. Thanks, Dean

'73 Runs now but way to rich (6 MPG) & Tranny shifts way too Fast!!

Charlie,I have created a new photo folder http://www.supermotors.net/registry/27354/84927 As you can see in the pics I sent a link to, I have one hose going to the tranny from the metal rectangular vacuum manifold bolted to the engine but the other hose is capped off with a screw in it and...

'73 Runs now but way to rich (6 MPG) & Tranny shifts way too Fast!!

Charlie, Thanks. However, in your initial thread you stated mine might be geared high but in your 2nd post you stated that you originally stated that mine might be geared low. All I know is that it is all factory as the only thing that's been altered is a 2-1/2" lift in the rear. Is there...

'73 Runs now but way to rich (6 MPG) & Tranny shifts way too Fast!!

Charlie & Fellro, I just went out to inspect the lines to the tranny & added a few more pics to the link added to last post that contain the two lines from the rectangular metal box that has several lines running from it. The outer/upper line goes from the driver's side of the box down...
