'97 Eddie Bauer Expedition PATS Issues

My wife bought a '97 Expedition a few months ago, and it has been having sporadic issues with the PATS system. Some days it's fine, and other days it'll decide that it doesn't want to recognize the key's code for anywhere from a few minutes, to sometimes a few...

    Losing brake pressure

Yes it does, I'll have to try that. It wouldn't surprise me if it is bad, especially since this truck was a plow truck, and it sat for 6 years.Do you know where is the ABS unit located, by chance? Also, how do I bypass it?

    Losing brake pressure

I have a 95 F250 4x4 that I've been working on resurrecting for the past 10 months. I have replaced the master cylinder, all of the brake lines (steel and rubber), the rear wheel cylinders, rear shoes and hardware, and front pads.I have bled the entire system twice now, and cannot figure out...

Internal slave cylinder quick connect issues

Special tool was like $5. I bought it and broke it all in the same day, ugh!!! :headbang:It's all good though. I ended up cutting the plastic hydraulic line off at the fitting, just to be able to finish dropping the tranny.Once that was accomplished, I removed the old slave cylinder from...

Internal slave cylinder quick connect issues

I'm afraid not. It's kinda similar to a fuel line quick connect, just bigger in diameter, and much smaller clearance for a tool to get in there to release it.

    Steering Column bearings

I have a couple of questions about steering column bearings. First off, I'm pretty sure that my upper column bearing has bought it. When I turn the wheel it makes an awful grinding noise and it is getting increasingly hard to turn the steering wheel. Not to mention the slop in the column (I can...

    Steering Column bearings

I have a couple questions about steering columns. First off, I'm pretty sure my upper bearing in my steering column has bought it. Every time I turn the wheel, it makes an awful grinding noise and it is getting harder to turn as well. Does anyone have a part # for the upper column bearing? This...
