CAI AND FULL EXHAUST

What is the best cold air intake to get for my 92 F250 5.8 gas motor and a full complete exhaust system man.

What type of horsepower and torque games would I be looking at an increase in fuel economy.

For a true CAI it has to have a sealed box! Volant has a true cold air intake, but not sure for your year. The next best would be AirAid. It’s not in a seal box, but does have a enclosed heat shield and a gasket that seals to the underside of the hood. All those ones you see with an exposed element actually are worse the OEM, drawing hot air from the engine bay.
The most noticeable thing with a CAI is the exhaust will sound more throaty and the throttle response more crisp. You may get a few HP.

For exhaust, a cat-back exhaust is the way to go. Get a quality name brand. Gibson, Magna Flow, Corsa, etc. Each has it’s own distinctive sound, so watch YouTube sound clip videos.

You’re not going to get 50 HP! Maybe 10. Mileage will be worse because you’ll have your foot in it all the time, lol! Hard not to when changing these two components.
