Work stuff

So while we can`t saw, the boss and are doing stuff to make things smoother and more efficient when we get back to work. May as well post some of it up I suppose. Remember, I`m not proud lol.

This is a stockpile chain. It`s fed by the original mill that started this whole shebang. It was put in in 2004 along with the band resaw. We lengthened it 5' this week and shortened the transfer chain that feeds it by a like amount.

I do ok for a dude that`s blind in one eye and needs glasses for the other.

A roll case we put together to replace the current one under our sizer head. It`s 10'3" long.

I`ll post some more as we do some more.

A little paint to blend it.

Meodows Mills like we run come from your neck of the woods. We`ve upgraded ours of course, but the concept is still the same. A lot of mills were built on a Meadows and then bankrupted when they decided to finance a Clareman.

Hell our second Meadows was originally a portable. Not much left of the original mill but the tracks. And the axles of the carriage lol.

That's pretty cool! Just realized I've never seen how something like that is set up.

Hope you don't mind, was looking for a place to talk about work stuff as well, so thought this might develop into a good line.

Most here likely don't know, but I work as a mechanical engineer. I have a very wide scope, as I do manufacturing, weld, design, as well as some electrical and hydraulic. I currently work for a feed trailer manufacturer. We do a lot of custom stuff, so it can be fun as much as annoying...

This is one of the more custom rigs. Had us paint it to match his truck.
