Bee stings (yellow jackets), V2.0

When I brought this up in a post not too long ago and asked how to best deal with it, someone suggested putting chewing tobacco on it. Well, I got a chance to try that yesterday and I can say that so far, over the last 22 hours, it DOES noticeably reduce swelling. Whoever brought that up, thanks!!!!!!!!!

*Just a pinch between the cheek and gum for 5 minutes, then put it on your fingers and hold it on the sting for 10 - 15 is all it takes. Make that dip a bit more slobbery when you press it on the sting was the theory and it worked!!!

*Updates may follow as I tend to react most severely 24hrs - 6 days after a sting but so far so good.

I used it the other day on a scorpion sting and it worked great!!!

Only problem was, scorpion venom is a neurotoxin, and I had some pain in my
shoulder after being stung just above the elbow on the inside of my arm!!!

My mom always used tobacco on our bee stings as kids!!!

Glad it worked...dunno if I suggested it or not, but I've done it before and I'll vouch for it. Hope it continues working.

I won't feel anything if I ever get stung in the lungs.

My gf got stung the other day at work for the first time ever, has a nasty swelled up looking mark on her leg. She isn't sure exactly what stung her though, guess it flew away too quick.

Man Bill I am so sorry to hear about you being stung. I certainly hope you have the speediest of recoveries so you can get back to your normal routine!

Thanks, but there's actually not a major disruption to the routine at all but more of a distraction every five or so minutes while working. Swat em back and keep going, there is little alternative other than be a flunkie for two months and wait for the cool weather to settle in, and that doesn't happen my way. So keep going, keep smiling, and hope for the best!!!!
