i see the bolts but they are spinning and and i cant see the top nut its hidding inside some kind of U support beam

my guess is that the bolts where put on that U support beam and then the bed was welded on?

A blue wrench worked for me.

The bolt go clear in to bed floor area (carriage bolt ).if they r turning they r stripped out in bed .(why I no longer remove beds to do tanks)

U can weld nut on top
try to drill out head so it will go down threw bed
torch em off (like above )
Other than trashing the bed floor they r not going to come with out a fight.

Good luck

Just cut or grind them off from the bottom and pull them out.

What kind of set up do these trucks use? Is it a carriage bolt through the top of the bed floor with a nut holding it to the frame underneath?

If so, I never put carriage bolts back in. I use standard hex head bolts instead.

Just cut or grind them off from the bottom and pull them out.

You can only get at 2-3 bolts from bottom to cut . Rest r behind tank or just tight in general

Yeah, there's 6 bolts in the bed. They are oval in shape at the head and serve the same puprose as a carriage bolt.

You need to heat those bolts up to break up the rust weld.

The only other attachements are the small screws on the filler cap. the wiring harness for the tail lights, and the hose clamp supporting the rear gas fill hose.
